Windows 7 and VARPG

Hi IBM.

VARPG run time will not install / work with Windows 7.

Any comment?

I have customers using the product in live environment. What may I tell them?

Re: Windows 7 and VARPG
Graham,

I am not familiar with Windows 7 but does it have a compatibility mode option like the other versions of Windows? Like run the setup.exe under XP or some sort of 32 bit mode?

Re: Windows 7 and VARPG
Hi,

there is a thing called Windows XP Mode available for Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions. It's a virtual XP machine that runs inside Windows Virtual PC. You have choice between the VM displays it's own desktop or the VM windows are integrated into W7 desktop (with XP look and feel if I remember well).

No additional XP licence is needed
