Can EGLCE be installed as a plug-in to RDi 7.5?


In the install notes, it says that you can install the plug in version of EGL CE into eclipse 3.4. Does that mean you have to install into the actual IDE Eclipse 3.4? Or does it mean that you can install it into any IDE that is running at eclispe 3.4?

I have tried to install it into RDi 7.5 which is running on eclipse 3.4. Following the installation instructions, I got this error message at the point where I tried to finish the install:

bidiFormatConfigurationFeature (1.0.0.v20090721_1326) does not have a valid license agreement

Requested operation cannot be performed because it would invalidate the current configuration. See details for more information.

I'd love to be able to run EGL CE and RSE in the same IDE!!!

Any advice?

Hi Joe,

The bidi feature is optional and you probably don't need it, so can you try installing EGL CE and deselect bidiFormatConfigurationFeature?

Hello Justin,

Your suggestion got me a few steps further, but no touchdown yet!

I proceeded throught the remaining prompts and it started merrily downloading the plug in. But then it halted with this:

!file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/joeb/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg!An exception occured while downloading feature from "jar:file:C/Documents and Settings/.../EGL_CE_plugin_1.0.0.zip!/features/com.ibm.help.common.feature_7.5.0.v20090701_1712.jar". Do you want to retry?

Typing a Yes didn't do me any good, so I entered No and that aborted the installation.
