Can't copy RBD 7.5 into local repository with IBM Package Utility 1.2.0


Hi,

I am trying to copy RBD v7.5 into a new local repository by means of the IBM Packaging Utility v1.2.0.
I'm getting the following error message: "java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException".
Did any of you folks encounter the same problem? If so, do you know how I can resolve this?

we found this problem as well, it's to do with the packaging of the downloaded files. Have a look at the last entry in this thread - http://www-949.ibm.com/software/rational/cafe/message/2621#2621

Hi Andy,

First of all thanks for your quick answer.

I have tried it out. However I have problems connecting to the proposed https://www.ibm.com/software/rational/repositorymanager/repositories/rationalsdp7/repository.config. When trying to add it to the Packaging Utility, I get a window "Choose certificate". I can't pass it. I do not get a username/password dialog. Using Internet Explorer, I succeed to view the repository.config file by means of my IBM account because there I get the username/password dialog.

Any idea how I can resolve this? Is this a Packaging Utility issue you think?

Hi,

not sure why mine worked without seeing the certificate problem. It does sound like a Packaging Utility problem.

If you open the File -> Preferences -> Internet dialog, there is a setting there for handling SSL certificates. If you've verified the URL is correctly pointing to the IBM site using Internet Explorer, you could try putting SSL in this non-secure mode for the session to get the package imported.

If you want to contact IBM support, the problem that we reported is being tracked as APAR PK74489. At least that will give you a start in resolving your problem.

I have tried out your suggestion about the SSL, but unfortunately it doesn't work. I'll open a PMR for this issue.
