Download and Run
Before you begin, please refer to the
System requirements and supporting software page.
EGL Community Edition is packaged in two ways:
1) full package with required Eclipse components,
2) just plug-ins to install into an existing Eclipse installation. Choose option #1 if you do not already have Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers 3.4 or want to get up and running faster. Choose option #2 if you already have Eclipse 3.4 and would like to install EGL Community Edition along side your other tools.
Installing the full package (recommended):
- Download the EGL_CE_1.0.0.zip file and extract it to the directory of your choice.
- Run the eclipse.exe command from the \eclipse directory.
Installing the plug-in package:
- Download Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers Version 3.4 and extract it to a directory of your choice.
- Run the eclipse.exe command from the \eclipse directory.
- Download the EGL_CE_plugin_1.0.0.zip file.
- From Eclipse, choose Help>Software Updates and click the Available Software tab.
- Click Add Site... and the Add site window opens.
- Click Archive... , browse the directory where you downloaded the plugin .zip file, and click OK .
- From the list, select the site (starting with jar:file:) that includes the EGL Community Edition feature, and click Install... .
- Read the the license agreement; if the terms of the agreement are acceptable, accept the license agreement.
- When you are prompted to do so, restart Eclipse.

You appear to point at the ganymede version of eclipse, but the current one is gallileo, will it work with gallileo?
