IBM and Kapow Technologies built a conference scheduler application so attendees can view their schedule on the fly. Users could view the session descriptions, use keywords to search for sessions, track which sessions they wanted to attend, and find out what's happening at the conference booths. Even more impressive is that the application was built in just under three hours!
The
IBM WebSphere sMash team also collaborated to include booth information from the
Buzz button powered by a "flow" implementing server-side mashups which collects information from user-defined topics on Flickr and Twitter (two influential social networking sites).
This application was used most recently at the
Web 2.0 Expo and was highlighted at the first keynote session, see
video fragment starting at 2:10.

Versions of the scheduler were also used at the
Rational Software Development Conference 2008 in Florida and India,
AjaxWorld 2008,
IBM Information On Demand 2008,
Gartner Application Architecture, Development & Integration Summit 2008, and will be used again at the upcoming
Rational Software Conference 2009.
The application was designed for the iPhone and also works on Firefox v2 and v3, Internet Explorer v6, v7, and v8, and Safari v3. It has been tested and works really well on the Google Chrome browser also.
