UML to EGL transformations (for the IBM Rational Business Developer version 7.1 and Rational Software Architect) allow architects to model applications graphically and implement EGL services or full create, read, update and delete (CRUD)- capable applications with no manual coding, increasing productivity and reducing errors.
The resulting output is

  • EGL SqlRecords and DataItems
  • Data access layer
  • Common CRUD operations
  • Services or Libraries written by EGL
  • Support EGL functions
  • Additionally, DDL script for defining the database tables (if the starting point is a class diagram)
  • Optionally also will create JSF based JSPs and corresponding EGL Handlers.

This demo goes to an example using Flash movie.
Also a presentation used on the Rational Software Devloper Conference 2008 is provided
