i Finally Did it

Posted by yantzi Feb 10, 2009

I don't know how many times a day I have to hit Ctrl+z to undo Word or PowerPoint's "auto correction" of my i to an I (as in Rational Developer for I, Rational Team Concert for I, or IBM I). So I finally bit the bullet and removed those auto-correction rules since I don't generally write about myself in Word or PowerPoint. Honestly, i have no idea why it took me so long :)

It's hilarious. I don't know how many times a day I do that, too. So to save the rest of us time finding out how, where did you actually do it at?

I personally just let it capitalize the i and when I am done with the document, do a Find and replace with Matching the case. Of course, you need to remember to put a space before and after the i. This would miss other punctuation marks after the i, e.g. IBM I? I don't normally have many of those.
