IBM is pleased to announce that IBM COBOL for AIX, V3.1 has been certified by Oracle. This collaborative effort with Oracle provides IBM COBOL for AIX customers assurance that they are able to write applications which interact with Oracle's database while leveraging IBM's leadership in compilation technology.

Oracle customers with an active support contact with Oracle can access Oracle's list of certified compilers via Oracle Metalink document number 43208.1.

IBM COBOL for AIX users should download and apply the 3.1.0.3 PTF from the IBM Fix Central web site. This PTF contains additional support to facilitate using the IBM COBOL for AIX, V3.1 compiler with Oracle's database.
